Before Treatment 

We require an initial consultation and patch test, at which time we will determine your suitability, explain what a course of treatments entails and discuss your treatment goals. We will carry out the consent process and perform a patch test. For complete safety your first treatment will be carried out at least 7 days after your patch test to ensure your skin isn’t prone to post-inflammatory hyper-pigmentation.

Suitability for treatment

The ideal candidate is anyone who shows signs of skin damage, including deep wrinkles, scars, visible pores, stretch marks, and/or anything else that affects the skin’s texture. This treatment is safe for all skin tones

For safety reasons, you may not be able to get this treatment if you have/are:

·       An Internal defibrillator/pacemaker or any other active electrical implant in the body

·       Any active conditions in the treatment area (e.g., rash)

·       History of skin disorders or very dry skin

·       Current or history of cancer (including pre-malignant moles)

·       Severe concurrent conditions (e.g., cardiac disorders)

·       Pregnant or nursing

·       An impaired immune system

·       A history of disease around the treatment area that’s stimulated by heat (e.g., herpes)

·       Poorly controlled endocrine disorders (e.g., diabetes)

·       Taking blood thinners

·       Had a face lift or eyelid surgery within the past 3 months

·       Had any resurfacing treatments or chemical peels within the past 3 months

·       Had any cosmetic injections within the past 2 weeks

·       Consumed non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs within the past week of your treatment

·       Any surgeries within the past 6 months

·       Treating over tattoos or permanent makeup

·       Excessively tanned

What to expect on the day of your treatment

Using the hand-held Venus Versa applicator hand piece, we will treat targeted area(s). The Venus Nano- Fractional Radio Frequency is set to the exact parameters for your skin type and skin concern. We work very thoroughly and methodically over the specific treatment area to give you an active and stimulating treatment. Helping to achieve extremely effective results on skin texture and tone. Skin resurfacing treatments may feel slightly uncomfortable, but not painful. You will feel the tiny pins on your skin followed by a tiny zap as the heat is transmitted, it will feel a little like light sunburn and you will experience some redness immediately after the treatment.

Post treatment

After the treatment has been completed, you will be advised of appropriate home care advice. The amount of energy directed into your skin varies depending on the concern we are treating, however discomfort, if any, is minimal. Afterwards your skin will appear red and somewhat inflamed—this is simply a natural reaction, vital to the process of skin repair. This inflammation causes the release of healing agents such as growth factors to the site, which ultimately boost skin’s natural regeneration process. The redness can last up to a couple of days, depending on your skin’s sensitivity. In most cases this redness reduces within a few hours. After 24 hours you can apply make up and return to your regular skin care routine. Ensure you apply SPF 30+ to help maintain results and avoid sun damage. Avoid rigorous exercise, hot bath, showers for 48 hours post treatment.
